Thanks for stopping by today!
Grace River is a safe place where anyone can come as they are and find hope and healing! This happens over and over again at Grace River as people come to grips with hurts, habits, and hangups and begin the process of allowing God's healing in the inner-most places of our hearts. Grace River isn't about being "good enough" and it's not about staying the same either. We are a community of broken believers who have found transformation through the cross of Christ. We are on a journey forward to become all that God has called us to be.
I am currently teaching an exciting series of messages entitled, "A Year of Firsts."
I have begun a daily devotional series that I send out by email entitled "Daily Grace". If you would like to be added to the mailing list, simply drop me an email and request the devotional. I very much look forward to hearing from you.
I hope to see you on Sunday at 10:00am at the Severance Middle School!

Our name, "Grace River" is rich with meaning. A river begins (at least in Colorado) way up in the mountains when the snow begins to melt forming small streams. These streams find their way together and combine to eventually form a river that when big enough can literally change the landscape and cut through rock forming amazing sights like the Grand Canyon. Grace River is our combined experiences of grace coming together to form a powerful movement of God's activity--a river of grace.
Grace River is a "safe place". It is a refuge--a sanctuary--an escape (2 Samuel 22; Psalm 18; Psalm 31; Psalm 59; Psalm 91; Zechariah 9:9-17). It is the kind of place where people are not judged, found wanting, and then thrown away (John 4:7-29). It is a safe place to confess one's sins (James 5:16; 1 John 1:9). It is a safe place to share one's struggles (Romans 7:14-25). It is a safe place to be real without any need for pretense (Luke 7:36-50).
Grace River is a safe place to find healing. We are all recovering from something and Grace River is a place where God heals--regardless of our individual hurts, habits, or hangups (Psalm 30:2; Isaiah 53:3-6; Ezekiel 47:1-12; Hosea 6:1-2; Malachi 4:2; Acts 4:29-30; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28; James 5:15-16). There is nothing too difficult for God.
Grace River is a safe place to "come as you are". There is no need to vainly struggle to clean up your own mess (Romans 7). Our God makes all things new (2 Corinthians 5:17). He will clean us up (1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Titus 2:14; Hebrews 10:19-22; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 1:7-9). Come as you are--no pretending necessary.
Grace River is a safe place to find "hope". It is a place where we can allow ourselves to believe in a better future--a better life--a life filled with purpose and fulfillment (Psalm 10:17; Psalm 33:22; Psalm 42:5,11; Jeremiah 29:11-12; Matthew 12:18-21; Romans 5:3-5; Romans 15:13; 1 Corinthians 13:13; Ephesians 4:1-6).
Our Passion at Grace River is to build the kingdom of God. We desire to reach those who have lost hope, lost their purpose in life, and who have lost themselves.
Our Passion is to bring healing and encouragement to those who have felt thrown away, pushed aside, and belittled.
Our Passion is to help others find Christ, hope, and healing. We are here to help restore, mend the broken hearted, show that all are loved, and no one is turned away.
Our Passion is to reveal that Christ never gives up - He never gives in - and never goes without giving.
Truly all are worthy of restoration, renewing of their minds, body, and soul. All are precious in the Lord's eyes
Our Passion is to become a church who will rise up and stand firm with our brothers and sisters . . . no matter what.
As the Lord renews and strengthens us then we are able to strengthen another.
Praise be to God who embraces us with His Mighty Wings!
Relevance - We matter as a church and each individual in the church matters. It is easy to get lost in crowds and in the hustle and bustle of church but we want everyone to know that they matter - not only to us at Grace River but to Christ as well.
Growth - Growth is one of the most important core values at Grace River in that no one gets to stay the same - we all must continue to grow in all areas of our life. We really encourage getting involved and connected in a Bible study, small group, counseling, mentoring, and/or some kind of recovery program. Many people come to Sunday worship year after year only to find that there has been no changes in their lives nor Spiritual growth. Christ wants to see us grow to our full potential. We at Grace River want that as well.
Transparency - Far too often we put our masks on at the door, along with a smile, and when asked, "How are you?" We respond with "Oh I'm fine." Our church is learning to be a body of people who come together with honesty and transparency.
Relationships - Having good relationships in our church is vital to the growth as well as it being a safe place for others to come. We encourage fellowship, in house gatherings, and so on. We encourage lifting one another up rather than tearing someone down behind closed doors. Gossip and clicks are discouraged. We believe that the body of Christ should be in good relation with one another - always uplifting and spurring one another on.
Restoration - We live in a world that can beat us up, tear us down, and shun us - we don't need to belong to a church who does that as well. We as a church believe in coming along side another human being and restoring them gently. We believe that there is hope and healing for all and that restoration can happen. All are worthy.
Freedom - We are a church who believes in freedom. We belief that Christ died so that we may have, find, and live in freedom. We can be released from those things that bind us. We can live a life filled with freedom - Christ's Freedom!
Life - At Grace River we value life. We are alive in Christ. Christ breathes His breath in us so that we may live. Many Christians today live a lifeless life. Our desire is to show others that there is a life worth living. We also strive to have a lively church - through our Worship, Teachings, and Messages. God is not dead! Nor are we.

Grace River Church is a body of people who love to worship! We are learning that our voices radiate to the heavens, our hands still rise, and God shows up - no matter where we are on Sunday mornings. We have a blend of songs that we sing - everything
from new modern songs to hymns. We love it all! We love to clap, we love to sing, and we love to Praise His Name! Our worship also brings us to the altar. It allows time for God to speak to the heart, minister to us, and sing over us. We often mix testimony and prayer time with our worship. We strive to be a church that allows God to lead and we try to follow His leadership during our worship time.
It takes a crew every Sunday morning to set up and tear down the sound euipment and system. We have a great team at Grace River. They work hard Sunday after Sunday. The Lord blesses and it always comes to together.
You can find us at the Middle School in Severance, CO. The facility is spacious and meets our needs. Just head through the front doors - where you will be greeted by others, into the lobby - where you can grab a cup of coffee, and on into the cafeteria to meet our family.
See you Sunday at 10:00am!

" I have such a huge heart for kids......maybe because I still feel like a kid myself! I have two children of my own. Hunter is 15 and Morgan is 8. I have been married for 16 years to Tony. I work at an Elementary school where I can be around kids of all ages. In the Summers I truly miss the children at school. So many children only hear the word of the Lord at church. If that is so, then it is our responsibility to teach them of Jesus' love for them. They are so special and loved here at Grace River. Our teachers and myself truly have a passion for watching children grow and experience the love of God for them! "

"Hi. My name is Glenda Mills I love teaching children it is actually one of my passions. I am a licensed teacher and I graduated from UNC in the spring of 2010. I am currently a substitute in Windsor School District. I am also the nursery and preschool coordinator for Grace River Church. This church is my family and I enjoy being able to be involved where ever I am needed. I currently have four volunteers for the nursery they are all great ladies and have a heart for working with kids. I am currently the only preschool teacher. I use a curriculum for the preschool from a website called "Welcome to Preschool Sunday School Central" The website if you are interested is http://www.psscentral.com/. I really like this curriculum because the lessons are just right for the preschoolers and it also provides me with take home sheets that talk about what we have been learning in church. After our lesson we usually color and do a craft and then we play. Thank you so much for allowing me to work with your children I truly enjoy it. If there is ever any questions for me feel free to contact me."
Thank you,
Glenda

Our women of Grace River are just that - "Women of Grace." The Lord has blessed our church with a group of women who serve one another in Love. They are hard workers, independent, strong with endurance, scholarly, and over-comers. They understand suffering and loss, they have endured hard times and good times, and they never give up. They are women who encourage. They are talented, teachers, and worshipers. Their hands are filled with craftsmanship. Some are career women and some are women who have committed to serve at home. They are beautiful women . . . each one unique made in the image of God. They are are real Women - coming as they are . . . blessed by God. Grace River - is Blessed to have them.
This winter the ladies are doing a study called Into The Light. It's all about coming out of the shadows of your past and into the light of your future! It is a great time for the ladies to:

Our Men of Grace River are striving to become Great men of God. They are putting aside the masks and getting real with themselves and real with God. They are coming to an understanding that their strength is not only physical but that they have a strength that comes from God that is greater than their own. It is not uncommon to see many of our men at the foot of the altar each Sunday. They are men who read the Word of God, attend Bible studies, and encourage one another. They are men who laugh and who are not afraid to cry together. They have tasted defeat and celebrated victory. They never give up. They are hard workers and their hands are filled with craftsmanship. They serve the church - more importantly God - with their gifts and abilities. Truly they are called to rise up and become great men of God . . . Grace River is proud to have them in our church!

What Happens After I Give?
The most traditional way to give is during our Sunday morning service. For many who give in this way it becomes an act of love and worship. It has special meaning to them as they present their offerings to the Lord. This is a wonderful way to give but there is never any pressure to do so.
Online Giving
Our online giving is convenient, simple, and easy. This process is fantastic for anyone who may be out of town, sick, or just misses a service. This tool allows a great deal of flexibility in giving.
By Mail
If you are one who enjoys sending cards or notes then this way of giving may be for you. Keep the traditional and send it by mail.
