We all have core values. We get them from our beliefs, how we were raised, and from influences in our life. The core values of our church represent the kind of church we long to be and strive to become.
  • Transparency - The people of today have gotten past being able to come into a church as they are. Far too often we put our masks on at the door, along with a smile, and when asked, "How are you?" We respond with "Oh I'm fine." Our church  is learning to be a body of people who come together with honesty and transparency.

  • Restoration -We live in a world that can beat us up, tear us down, and shun us - we don't need to belong to a church who does that as well. We as a church believe in coming along side another human being and restoring them gently. We believe that there is hope and healing for all and that restoration can happen. All are worthy.
  • Freedom - We are a church who believes in freedom. We belief that Christ died so that we may have, find, and live in freedom. We can be released from those things that bind us. We can live a life filled with freedom - Christ's Freedom!

  • Relevance - Relevance in our church is so important in that everyone is relevant. We matter as a church and each individual in the church matters. It is easy to get lost in crowds and in the hustle and bustle of church but we want everyone to know that they matter - not only to us at Grace River but to Christ as well.

  • Growth -Growth is one of the most important core values at Grace River in that no one gets to stay the same - we all must continue to grow in all areas of our life. We really encourage getting involved and connected in a Bible study, small group, counseling, mentoring, and/or some kind of recovery program. Many people come to Sunday worship year after year only to find that there has been no changes in their lives nor Spiritual growth. Christ wants to see us grow to our full potential. We at Grace River want that as well.

  • Relationships - Having good relationships in our church is vital to the growth as well as it being a safe place for others to come. We encourage fellowships, in house gatherings, and so on. We encourage lifting one another up rather than tearing someone down behind closed doors. Gossip and clicks are discouraged. We believe that the body of Christ should be in good relation with one another - always uplifting and spurring one another on.

  • Alive -  Our core value of being alive is coming to an understanding that we are alive in Christ. Christ breathes His breath in us so that we may live. Many Christians today live a lifeless life. Our desire is to show others that there is a life worth living. We also strive to have a lively church - through our worship, teachings, and Messages. God is not dead! Nor are we.
